I know this has to have been discussed before. But after a few searches, I can’t find a thread.

so, simple question, what’s the general consensus on storing your cigars in your humidor with the wrappers on or off.

for years, I just have left the plastic wrappers on.

and I’m back. It been years since I have been here. Good to this place is still going strong.

I purchase cigars that are supplied both with the cello & without the cello; I much prefer having the cellophane.

Years ago I used to purchase quite a few/a lot of a particular 'small batch' cigar that was sold without the cellophane.
At my requests my vendor would gladly supply me with the correct size cellos  for these not so inexpensive cigars.

Welcome back -- hope you become a regular around here!

As for your question, it's about as divisive as politics. :P The correct answer, of course, is "cello on". Hulk Hogan didn't sacrifice so much going to war with the Iron Sheik and Gulf War-era Sgt. Slaughter so that we'd be forced to take the cello off of our cigars when putting them in the humidor. No, SIR. That cello stays on, just like eagles, Budweiser, and wrecked Ford Mustangs leaving Cars n' Coffee.

Cello on, brother. Cello. On.

If they are shipping in plastic, you're buying the wrong kind.

I used to hate the cello, jsut seemed annoying :) I have some pretty old cigars in the humidor and when I take the cello off you can see the brown color on the cello. To me that means the oils when aging are just staying in the cello and making the cigar even better
