Well, as some know that my cable connection has been down more than a $2 hooker on Prom night. The cable repay guy shows up today after they was supposed to come here twice last week. Needless to say, he looked at how many times my connection has dropped in a month. Its over 500 times. Holy mother of pearl. Good lord. Its been down 30 times just today. So, they are going to refund me a month which is cool.

But needless to say, I've been smoking 2 to 3 cigars a day since this whole net BS started. Yes, some will say switch. But out here...There is no one else. :angry2:
But at least they are gonna take care of me some what and all I can do is pray winter isnt so harsh so that my connection doesnt get worse. But the cool part is my wall is next to where the cable box thing is so they are going to put me in a new line tomorrow so maybe that will help some. Needless to say, many people in my building are getting the shaft atm. While writing this in about 3 mins the coonection when down 3 times. :0

I hope everyone has more of a pleasant day than mine is looking to be so its time for a big fat smoke. Ahhhh..to calm them nerves.

I know what you mean...

They give you a window of 5 hours to wait for a repair person.
Which pretty much means you have to take a half-day off of work.
Or you can get the repair person to come out on a Saturday...which means extended down-time.

The cable company doesn't care that you waste your vacation time from work on something they might be able to fix without you there!

Anyway, sorry to bitch. In summary, I understand your pain!

Mr Peat...glad you got to smoke. Hopefully you at least enjoyed the cigars you smoked.

Good to know that eventualy, if you complain enough, you will get the service that you expect to recieve. I get tired of this type of service all the time. Everyone wants to sell you something, and take your money, but they never want to help you out.

So, in short, nice to know you got some help on this one. As for the long answer, I'll get back to you after a nice smoke

Loren

CEBRIDGE CONNECTION SUCKS UNHOLY ASS!!!!

Its happening at my house too so dont feel bad....they are asshats who have a monopoly up here.

I sucks, but ive learned to live with it.

That is all.

Yeah..I'm in heaven now. My bottle of Scotch I went on with AVB arrived and its opened already. :whistling: Smoking a Arturo Fuente Chateau Cuban Belicoso Sun Grown cigar as well. Ahh..Spice heaven atm. So life is looking good atm. :D

Thanks again OpusXKC for drawing my attention to these.

My cable was out for over a month because I could not be here and "wait" for them to show up. Finally, they sent somebody that didn't have his head up his ass and he ended up running a new line up from the street and a new line just for my modem. He also explained to me a whole bunch of shit wrong with my cable system. Tomorrow he is coming back to totally rewire the whole house. If anybody else but that guy shows up I will send them packing.

Internet is running stronger and faster than ever now.

Keep on filing complants as that they are responding to. I had the same problem until the building managment finally decided it was time for an upgrade of their wireing & the with it the whole cable system to digital. Since then its been broadband bliss :-) Loren just keep it cool & light another one, before you know it you'll be logged 24/7.

Well, they came in today. Switched out to a new router. Redid a splitter at the cable junction thing in the building. Drilled a hole in the wall and ran a new line. Now I have cable access on the opposite side of the apartment and the cable tv running through the other line. So far, its looking sweet.

He showed me how many times it disconnected in 5 days. It was over 500 times. :0
But hopefully all will be well now which will make me happy.

LOL

And we don't have cable over here, but they have moved to DSL2 which has 6000 down and 568 up, pretty sweet ping for my games just wish it didn't cost an arm and a leg...

Well..Off a 3 meg connection the net really has taken a turn for the worse. At least its not disconnecting YET. But then again..I'm getting 647 Down and 274 Up. Its supposed to be in the range of 3 Meg Down and the up is about where its supposed to be at. Oh well....Another cigar time.

Mr. Peat, I hope my subcontractor, the usps, got there, and perhaps you are a little less stressed, and can enjoy some new cigars instead of being upset about the cable. You should have asked Santa for a choice in cable providers!

Called to get my stove repaired...They wanted to set a date, then call me that morning to say whether they'd come in the am or pm. :0 It's not just the cable companies...

MrPeat,

call them...they might have bumped you down (mistakingly, hahaha) to 700kbps.

They did that to me...I checked on www.dslreports.com and it was 380kbps!

I was furious!

They changed it from their end and reinbursed me for a month.

Just give them a call. They may be able to correct this instantly.
