Before the future in-laws show up. Vile disgusting rude obnoxious and ridiculously horrible people. I've had several fallings out with them, as has my girl, but now they say they "need to see the new house" so they can probably let their little kids break all our crap.

I'm getting real nervous. Good news is they hate me so much, they're driving 3 hours to stay here 3 hours then they're driving back. 3 hours is way too long though.

*takes deep breath*

Hang in there, bud. Grit your teeth and keep thinking about the cigar waiting for you on the other side. :D

Ouch, that can't be fun. You would probably have to be able to get along with them if that's the case though, right? Hopefully.

Fiance' has asked me to start drinking after they leave, because after i see them, I typically complain and reaffirm my distaste for them for several hours. She's says I'm a happier person afterwards if she gets me to drink, so she bought me a bottle of tequila. I just have to decide what to smoke now.

Kind of funny... no, I don't. Especially the sister! I came to the conclusion about a month ago that I wasn't spiritually fit enough to have a "healthy" relationshp with her and her freeloading ass... so I disconnected. If I must acknowledge her... I do so kindly. Other than that I have very little communication with her or her boyfriend (baby's daddy) who are sleeping one room over from us (with two babies, 1yr and 7days). Now the brother... I'm cool with. Although he just quit his job at Pizza Hut (apparently he's holding out for something better!), and so now all he really does is play "Counter Strike" all night and sleep until noon on the couch with his balls hanging out of his boxers...

Now you see why I spend so much time on the front porch with a stogie! :D

What part of "NO" don't you understand. People visit when it is convenient for YOU not the other way around.

I'm with Ray on this one. Most of the pain comes with the false hospitality. Open, honest loathing and hostility might be the best bet.

They left an hour ago.

The damage: one broken tail light, one destroyed volleyball net, I'm sure both my dogs will be nursing rib bruises as they were closed in the doors several times, a headache, and a broken light fixture. I'm sure my bowels will be heavily hurt in short time as we went to some crappy buffet restaraunt and everything tasted oily.

I kept having to hear about "The great flavor of this pork chop" or "the great flavor of these mashed potatoes." They used the word flavor so much, I contemplated suicide if I heard it again. But then figured I'd actually have to commit it.

GF uhhh gave me some special time after they left, that was good. Now I'm grabbing a beer, a bottle of tequila, a stoge and smoking some ribs for tonight.

Happy Saturday boys.

EDIT to add: I have no false hospitality. My downfall in life is that I'm blatantly honest. My fiance' has told me it's either people hate my guts, or really like me. her family hates my guts. I told my girl that when we moved, I realized we had to have them over at some point, and no time would be a good time, but just tell me when it's happening and i'll deal with it. I've dealt with it. it's over, I don't have to see them for another year.x hopefully.

btw her 23 year old sister is dating a 33 year old columbian who owns his own business in imports/exports. He's got 4 kids back in columbia.

Youch.

That sounded like a nightmare. I feel for you, Ron.

Enjoy the rest of your day. You've earned it.
