That's A Big Croc!

This crocodile was on the beach in front of the Petroleum club, Plage Sportive In Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo. 21 FT long, 4,500 lbs, around 80 years old minimum. Specialists said that he was looking to eat humans because he was too old to catch animals. For the past few months in some villages close to Pointe Noire people were complaining that some people in their villages have been disappearing, and it could well be this crocodile that's responsible. This crocodile was killed by the army last Sunday at 3:00 pm, currently he is in the freezer at the Azur hotel. The contents of it's stomach will be analyzed this Friday at 2:30pm.

I find it very sad that the only solution was to kill the thing. I don't approve of it eating people (or at least most people), but there had to be another solution than to kill something that has been on this earth for 80+ years.

I think as humans, we have to keep in mind that we are the new ones on the planet. We are the ones invading (or destroying) their space.

just to play devil's advocate here dawg....if it was your son/daughter/wife/ect, he ate would you still fight for his rights to stay alive and be ohhed and awwed over at your local zoo? if he was 8 years old would you then be ok with killing it? i know you would agree that if and 80 year old man murdered and ate your kid you would want him put to death, right? but for some reason we have compasion for an animal who commits the same crime.

im not saying i totally disagree with you, im just trying to stir the pot a little on a mondane wednesday morning.
