My last topic was the unfortunate news that I had to put my families beloved dog, Murphy, down. Being without a dog is really tough for me. I just couldn't be without a dog companion and found one at a rescue that needed a new home. My wife and I picked up Casey yesterday and couldn't be happier. My wife's actually happy that I finally have a reason to go on long walks again... geez.

I couldn't believe someone gave up such a beautiful beagle pup when I saw Casey's photo on the rescue's website. Well... it was sort of like online dating... the pictures I saw on the website weren't exactly the same as the older, rounder dog that came walking up to meet us. I had to laugh. It was priceless. Casey's a great dog even with a few more years of age and a good ten extra pounds. I still think a lot of Murphy, but am really happy to have been put together with Casey. All dogs deserve love.

So without further ado...

Here's Casey

Congratulations Chris! That's one cute dog! :) Best of luck with her.

i love to hear of people adopting from a rescue. we've adopted 2 of the 3 dogs we've had.

congrats on the new addition!

Nice play!

Just don't start sending them as bombs! :D

Congrats! Beagles are the best.

Good looking pup!! My wife and I rescued a Greyhound from the track a little over a year ago. The first couple of months were very challenging, but I wouldn't trade my dog for anything in the world now.
