CAO palms Perfecto
so I was asked to write this by Wobbie on Chat last night I think just to torture me but Here is my report in full.
Filler : The palm’s was made with Six different types of Cuban seed fillers no one has the exact recipe.
Binder: the binder is a habano binder
Wrapper: The wrapper is Ecuadorian Rosado which I read give the cigar most off its flavor.
Size was 6.7 x 54 perfecto shape
As for how the cigars were given out they were handed out on Feb. 1st year of our lord 2004 for Superbowl XXXVIII party at the Palms hotel in Las Vegas. The two teams playing were the New England Patriots vr. the Carolina Panthers.
The Palms cigar was touted as a secret blend and no one was told the exact blend. But people that have smoked them and other information I have read it was just a re banded C.A.O. Odyssey. Which is the same size and wrapper. But no one knows for sure knows if the filler is the same for both.
As to the number of Palms handed out I can not find the info on them. The Northwest rep for CAO laughed when I told him I was trying to find one. Saying they are more rare then any other CAO cigars. I was able to confirm one sale of a 3 pack in the coffin box being sold on cbid but was not able to acquire the price he payed. But being the Odyssey is selling for twelve dollars a stick. Ad some money for the rarity of the band and this history of the cigar and I would say the selling price on the Palms would be right around twenty dollars. As what it is worth to me. It is purely sentimental and as my wife said and obsession. I will have to quote Dr. Evil once again and say One Million Dollars!
Thank you for the chance to write this I think if I ever do get a chance to smoke the Palms I will just appreciate this so much more! Rp
