At $80, price looks maybe a little to good. And I'm a little leery of glass on humidors.

Could you tell by looking what types of humidifying devices would work? I'm currently using Xicar (?) jars.

My Kool-a-dore worked fine in the summer but the levels dropped way down in the winter and I couldn't get them backup.

Put in a call to the seller but they are sometimes not objective about their products.

I've personally seen someone go down that road. Avoid it. If I recall correctly it wasn't spanish cedar, the hinges were too small and cheap. The doors broke off before the 8 month mark and it wouldn't hold humidity if you paid it like a high end escort.

I looked but couldn't find it. However there was a recent thread in the last year a new member started about this humidor and I don't remember exactly but I think it was bad issues with the product something with not having Spanish ceder.

Whooper's humi is a great product. My buddy has the same setup with the same beads and it is great!

+1 i just ran into this.  Spend the little extra and buy something off a trusted site.  If your on a budget and have time to kill, check out http://www.cigarmonster.com/humidors-accessories.cfm.  They have hourly deals and I believe on Saturday they have something called "Mash-up".

A friend of mine bought this for me for X-mas......it is not well made, and like wkoti said, it holds humidity poorly.....I've been fighting the humidity problem for 3 months.  I have 4 different heartfelt beads products in there and still can't get above 60-62%.  In fact, went out last week and put out $135 for a decent humidor (http://www.craftsmansbench.com/fairmont.php), seasoned it and it's been maintaining right at 70% with Boveda packs right now.  Transferred over a good number of cigars and it's doing fine.  Problem is, I'm going to have to get another humidor to transfer over the rest....or smoke them faster!
