Actually, from what I read, it was a radio joke and the guy was a real person. But, who knows, still coulda been staged.

And, there's a bit more to NASCAR than rolling around a circle and crashing.
 
It just seemed to me that a guy from "Mississippi" would have a little bit more of a drawl than that. He sounded to me like he was from Connecticut or at the very least north of the Mason-Dixon :D

I have lived in both Arkansas and Louisiana but have lived in Oklahoma the logest. I'll agree with CC that it does not take long for your accent to start changing. I did not care if the guy was actually from the south or north, it was just a funny joke to me and if he did give his real name and is actually from Mississippi I feel sorry for him, NOT. :laugh:

I just got done talking to Cliff(cvm) and he reassured me that in no way, shape, or form, was that fella from Mississippi. As evidence, he forwarded to me the picture below of the finest citizens the wonderful state of Mississippi has to offer. You people should be ashamed of yourselves and about the way you carry on about our lower states!. :angry2:

Well, I'm a big time NASCAR fan and enjoy every bit of the sport. I loved the radio prank and If and when you come down here to the Orlando / Daytona area, you'll hear a lot of people talk like that proud fan did...... :D :thumbs: :p
