This whole "Whore" thing confuses me

Cigars are tremendously interesting in this aspect. When I used to smoke cigarettes, I never once thought "Oh man, this cigarette is going to taste so good." With cigars, there's this tremendous range of dynamics that drive the urge. And behind them all, is the nicotine. Speaking from my own perspective, of course.

It's an amazing mix, I agree! Totally different from cigarettes, IMHO. But like you say, there's no denying the nicotine aspect. ;)
 
There's nicotine in cigars?

I've never had an urge to smoke a cigar for the nicotine, nor have I had nicotine fits which forced me to smoke a cigar.

Great point, McK. Cigars do entail a great deal more than simply the delivery of nicotine. They deliver pleasure, not in the sense of satisfying a physiological addiction, and that opens the floodgates wide for all manner of rumination and cogitation.
