Sad if he has endured the loss and if so he has my condolences also. The thing about dealing with people on the internet is that you only have their history of participation to judge them by. While its entirely possibly for a catastrophic event such as losing a family member to happen, considering his past conduct, its suspect. Nothing more. Not sure how anyone, on the internet that is, would not expect it to be questioned. I would be first in line to express sypathy but in the age of the internet, sadly, it requires proof.
I found it funny that he decided to ask me to stop playing god on his for sale thread when all I asked him was if he would ship first. I have never had any interaction with this guy previously... I don't think we've ever posted on the same thread before. His slant on me being from CP, so I was a bad person, was to simply round up the wagons around him which the newbs did. I found it even more remarkable that one of the newbs that question my low post count had just signed up a few months ago and had thousands of posts already.
I'm sure his contributions of substance is substantial.
My intent was to get an actual list of the cigars, determine value and have an opportunity to inspect them. I would have been glad to buy most of them at a reduced price but have no interest to allow a sale be decided by someone other than myself determining quality/condition. He made it easy to walk away......
Edited to add: he gives the cigar count for this lot at 250-275 yet the list of cigars he posted only added up to 170-175.
