Or maybe You cut off too small piece of a stick, just a small slice?
Some cigars wont be smokeable even at 60%rh if there too tight.
I had a RP 1999 that was waaaay too tight, dry boxed a couple days, still tight, waited another week in dry box, still tight.I gave up and chucked it.
seems like i'm getting more and more that are tightly rolled and have a poor draw, and, imo, can ruin the enjoyment as they don't smoke the same, or maybe i'm not doing something right.
Anyway, any tricks to correcting some of these tight draws?
Yes, a cigar poker.
...This is primarily Habanos cigars i'm talking about, i thought i heard that their construction has slipped over the past few years

I never heard of those.... are they new? ???
Yes, a cigar poker.
Yeah, I've got one of those as well. It certainly can come in handy but you need to test the draw before lighting. The one that I have is called the Drawpoker and can be found on eBay for less than 20 bucks.
