Toasty Jones Cigars - are they really that good?

Log into your account and check the status. My orders have all shipped within 2-3 days from the date I ordered. If it's taking much longer than that, give them a call and find out the status. Should not take more than 2 days or so to process an order.

If you're buying Toasty Jones, I'd try one and then let the rest sit for at least a couple of months. Dry boxing really helps as they do appear to be shipped very fresh. The flavor is quite different once they dry a bit.

How long do you dry box yours? Just overnight or longer?

I dry boxed them for about 1-2 weeks. It depends how humid your environment is. The first time I bought these was last year. And to be honest, they were good but not great. I let them sit in the humidor for a few months and tried another one. The flavor was quite different, and rather impressive for such a cheap smoke. These aren't PSD 4's, however they are a great every day cigar, or yard 'gar. I like that they also produce a ton of smoke. Can't stand smoking a cigar, especially a larger ring gauge, for it to produce a mediocre amount of smoke.

I'm certain these are shipped wet with virtually no age, otherwise I don't think I'd notice the substantial improvement in flavor from newly purchased to ~3 months of age.

While they don't mention which factory is making these, I personally suspect they are from Drew Estate. Drew Estate is a well known Nic brand. The style of the logo and even the name certainly sounds like a Drew Estate brand. Again, I have no idea, just speculation.

Finally ordered a 25’er. Been waiting on a good coupon code. At $1.82 per stick the bar is low for a payoff.

ETA - ordered the

Smoked one today. (ROTT/yesterday)

Pretty good with no rest. Probably wait 3 months and smoke another.

No burn issues. Wrapper fell apart the last third. Some pepper early on and then just smoothly creamy. Some more pepper the last third also.

Photos in “Todays Smoke”.

Well I smoked a habano last night. It had about a month rest and I found it very bland. As in almost no flavor at all, even on retro. Which is better than bad flavor, I guess. Maybe needs more rest, maybe it was the cold (sub-freezing temperature), maybe just a bum stick. I may try one maduro yet, but I'll let the others rest a while longer and revisit. I did smoke it straight out of the humi at 65% as well, so some dry boxing might have helped, too. I'll have to remember that for next time.

Let it rest a few months. In my experience, the flavor opened up. They aren't strong cigars by any means, just a smooth enjoyable smoke while working in the yard.

That's the plan for the rest of them, I just wanted to give one a try and see.

I ordered the Lancero on 2-24 and after two months at 65% they are all still plugged. I have reached out to CigarPage to see what happens next. It's a shame too because they seemed to have decent flavor.

I have a contact there. Let me know if you need help.

I decided to try it again now that they've sat for a few months. Big difference - much better and impressive for the price. Whoever is rolling these knows what they're doing. The burn was perfect all the way through. Seems they just need some age, so I'm sure they're going to improve over time. I think I'll stock up on more... Great yard 'gars.
Well Todd, let's see if you're right.

They're not PSD4, but they are great yard 'gars. I've smoked several bundles now, and I've had a few with construction issues, primarily not rolled tight enough. So loose that it was like smoking chewing tobacco through a boba straw. Not bad though, considering it was just 2 or 3 so far. Definitely smoke a couple now and let the rest sit for a few months. They really do open up flavor wise.
