I enjoy some boobie with my cigar!

Flor de las Antillas natural - MUCH better with ten months of age than the one I had this spring that I didn't think much of.

I really try not to let things irritate me, but this did it! The head was cracked when I took it out of the cello, so I glued it and let it dry for about an hour, but to no avail. I try to buy a couple sticks from my local B&M when I’m over there, but I expect to not get a damaged cigar when I pay almost $25 for it! However, I’ll use this as a learning experience. I will always check a cigar from top to bottom before buying anything locally!

‘19 Trinidad Casildes (from the Antigua Book) 7 1/4 X 53 - knew it would be too young for my taste but after 6 years waiting I couldn’t resist trying one any longer. Strongest Trinidad I’ve ever smoked. I love the mild to medium typical Trini profile. Lots of wonderful flavors just aching to present but not there yet. Confident these will mellow a bit to medium full and be amazing smokes. Just hope I stick around long enough to find out!

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Maduro Sublime (6x54). Connecticut Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler.

This was bought as a single to try out. I haven't had many cigars with this wrapper yet, as it seems to have only really come into use during my time away from the hobby, but I have enjoyed the ones I've sampled very much for their strong, spicy flavor. I should have bought at least one more because the flavor seems good, but the construction on this particular stick is horrible.

First, the draw is quite tight. I clipped the cap, saw the bunch, took a cold draw, clipped more, tested, and clipped yet more. This is as far as I could go without clipping the entire cap off and risking the wrapper unravelling, and it's still way overstuffed.

I'm plowing ahead anyway, and then in the middle I get to a soft spot and find this.

Sheesh.

I'll have to try another one sometime and hope for a better example.

That band reminds me of this.

Sadly none of the young folk will every know about this since it was memory holed.
