Today's Smoke 2025

Just fired up a Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduro. Wow, this stick is a flavor bomb! Rich cocoa and espresso notes hit first, followed by a smooth, creamy finish with a hint of spice. Perfect draw, razor-sharp burn, and about an hour of pure bliss. Paired it with a dark roast coffee—absolute heaven. Smoking this on my patio, enjoying the crisp 2025 evening.

An all time classic. I smoked boxes of these back in the day. One of my first favorites along with the 1926 and Ashton VSG. Throw in the Fuente Cuban Beli and you have my Mount Rushmore of old school NC cigars.

A couple days late but just back to my computer....I stopped by Holts and the Ashton cigar lounge in downtown Philly the other evening. So you know you gotta go with the VSG....when in Rome do as the Romans etc.. Had some burn issues and tight draw so I suspect the sticks in the store are a little on the damp side which is kinda to be expected. But really nice place w comfortable seating and good ventilation. Bushmills on the rocks was only $10 which is a steal from what Ive found in Philly bars. A double on the rocks at the Logan rooftop bar was $33 a few months ago! I guess that's to pay for the view up the Ben Franklin pkwy.
