Today's Smoke 2025

Chillin Moose Too - CT broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. Medium, pretty one dimensional flavor (earthy) but at least the flavor is decent. A good cigar for smoking when you don't want to pay much attention to it. Better than the Toasty Jones Maduro, but not by all that much.

IIRC I got a fiver on a low-ball at cbid.

Vegueros Mañanitas - 3 7/8 X 46 Petit Pyramid - My first of the newish vitolas which debuted in 2012. Was a gift so no box code. I’m a big fan of the old line which I consider the poor man’s Cohiba. They age magnificently just like my favorite marca. This one was pretty young with lots of grass and pepper. Medium full strength and very full flavored. Lots of potential and I liked it a lot.

From RMCF GA bag. First, it’s got a sweetened cap 👎. After I cut off as much as possible without the whole thing unraveling, the pure sugar taste is not as overwhelming. The construction seems very good, with no visible seams. The pre-light aroma is what I imagine a black-cherry pipe tobacco would smell like (I’ve never smoked those kind of pipes😎), and remains in the taste and smell throughout the smoking experience. If given another one of these cigars for free, I would thank the gifter profusely, then drop it in the garbage as soon as they turned their back. But, you never know unless you try!
