Today's Smoke 2025

Black Works Hyena Lonsdale from the Poor Man's Pass. Cameroon wrapper, Nicaragua for the rest. Cedar and hot cinnamon (atomic fireballs without the sugar), slight sweetness at the finish, strong black pepper retro. Excellent.

LFD La Nox petite corona. It's a strong little thing, I keep getting little spots on the wrapper that spit and sizzle, this is a first for me. I don't know if it's oil pockets or what. I'll try to get some video of it happening. Regardless, is a very good cigar.

ETA: let's see if this works.

Got one there, but there have been draws where it did it up to three times. Odd.

E. P. Carrillo Black Swan. Ecuador Habano wrapper, MSA binder, Dominican, Nicaraguan and Connecticut Broadleaf filler.

A lumpy, splotchy, frankly ugly cigar. Big hole in the wrapper. But, pretty good flavor now that it has six or seven months of rest. Spice, wood, salt, grass, earth.

ABO DIC18 Hoyo de Monterrey - Le Hoyo de Rio Seco - 5 1/2 X 56 Aromosos - my first of the newer jumbo HdM. Chocolate covered cherries on cold draw. Rarely get this much flavor on cold draws. Creamy, dried fruit but flavors are muted. Needs more time as most Hoyos do for my taste anyway. Also feel like these would be so much better in a 52 ring. Still these have tremendous aging potential and gave occasional very tasty floral notes.
