The parade of yard gars continues - cedar, pepper and, I dunno…turpentine? Does it get better? Guess I’ll never know-didn’t make it halfway. The best thing about it is it’s out of my humidor.

Been on a La Aurora and Rojas kick lately. I got a sampler of all the La Aurora Preferidos 1903. I smoked each of the 4 over 3 days and this is my impression:
Preferidos 1903 Connecticut Robusto - Not much flavor, at the end had a bad nic kick. After taste next morning
Preferidos 1903 Corojo Robusto - tobaco, some spice, then some leather
Preferidos 1903 Ecuador Robusto - Started out spices, then some light leather, pretty decent
Preferidos 1903 Cameroon Robust - Was kinda an average of all, bit of nic kick at end, delicate wrapper
They only had a 2 month rest, so maybe a revisit and do over after they have more time.

Leather, earth, creamy dark coffee, woody, black pepper retrohale finishing with spice, cocoa and floral notes. Nice Sunday afternoon smoke.
