Rojas Street Tacos Carnitas
Smooth, mellow spice, cream, vanilla and tobacco sweetness. Perfect construction. Very enjoyable mellow smoke. I ordered a couple Rojas samplers last month and all of the bands were simpler and less fancy than older sticks in my humi. I don’t know if I got an older batch or if they have simplified the labels. This was true for the various tacos, unfinished business and bluebonnet. If these are newer it seems an odd direction, but as long as the sticks are good I don’t really care, just found it interesting. Pic included of the two Carnitas with the more recent purchase on the right.

Olmec maduro Corona Gordo. Hard to decide between this and the Toro, both remarkable smokes. I keep trying to convince myself the CG has a bit more complexity of flavor, honestly not sure. Just hits right when a burly smoke is called for. Recommended.

Edited to add...burn went a little crazy on this but immediately self corrected back to perfect. Love these smokes as the draw and construction is flawless. Draw is on point. Rich, dark, flavorful...just yummy. Perhaps a new fave; no kidding, they're that good. One man's opinion....😎

Open draw, excellent spice, cream and dry earth with black pepper and spice retro. 2nd is wood and spice. Cream returns to pair with wood, earth and spice for the final 3rd. Excellent smoke. My son had a JC Newman Yagua that was also very good.
