I’d say 4% max. I’ve smoked a couple hundred of them this year so far and haven’t had one even close to plugged.

I owe HDM and Cuba an apology. I left my son’s (unsmashed) stick on the balcony overnight and this morning it smoked just fine. Kind of dumb of me to think we could pull them out of tubos and fire them right up. Should’ve pulled them out when we bought them/dryboxed for a day. So those were user error.

This is the number one user error with Cuban cigars. One which I’ve made myself so many times. Havana cigars perform best at very low RH. I prefer 55-60% max so dry boxing is a must unless you keep a humidor at 60 or less.

Plugged and unsmokable. Smashed in frustration after 15 minutes of effort. Switched to something worth smoking.
Perhaps these would have been great with enough rest but surely they’d been sitting in LCDH for a while. Cuban (in)consistency…
Foundation on the other hand never disappoints.

What travel case do you have?

Amazon special for the trip. Has some built in tools (substandard but usable in a pinch) and two rows of 10 with a cedar strip underneath and a thin foam layer for over the top. Typical dumb Amazon name. Worked very well.
