Tried a new cutting method

Your timing is uncanny. I read Wilky's post (w/excellent photos) last night, and decided I would try it tonight. Just gave it a whirl on a Tat Havana VI Hermosos, and it worked like a champ. Left two of the three parts of the cap intact, didn't smash the head of the cigar any, and the draw is excellent.

Yeah, I tried to do this, but just happened to do the same thing in one cut...didn't take any of the filler out.

After looking at the link, I tried this cut tonite. I applied light pressure and rotated the cutter and the cap just slipped off. I didn't get to flip it because I rotated it a bit too far, but it was so clean.. just the cap, not a speck of filler.

I have had problems with this cigar (Perdomo Remainders) fraying, but looks like this is a good solution.

Thanks for the link.

cool! :)
