Please share.I have been here at CP long enough to see Leebo attack many BOTL for MUCH less than this, so I think I have a better understanding than you think I do.Plus I think what he did to MMM is just typical of his kind, he can dish it but he cant take it, when he is confronted with the EXACT same disgression he has shredded other people over he wants to close the thread and ban his detractors, if CP were run like that he would have been banned LOOOONG ago, ironic isnt it? I beg to differ on one account. Most of the people that Lee whups up on aren't BOTLs. They are deserved of the attention they receive. It also points out, though albeit harshly, that members won't let things slide. I am not saying Lee is above any kind of ridicule. But where are these people that MMM says are owed cigars. He has made a claim the Lee owes to other people. Yet no one is stepping up.
MMM did indeed try blocking some of Lee's admin privledges, even though it is Lee's site. So for those who jump on the poor MMM bandwagon, was he out of line trying to force Lee from being able to administer his own site? Was Lee out of line banning MMM for his actions? Once again I do say that too many people here on this board and on others are so quick to jump on one side or the other. That is why I chastize people who do. Not for making a decision, but for making decisions when they don't know for sure what the heck is going on. That's my 2 cents.

It is obvious YOU are the one who isnt up on the whole story here, if you had read the thread, there wouldnt be any question about who is owed cigars, ricmac is the one that we KNOW for sure is owed even by Leebo's own admittance, now I dont know the others MMM is talking about but when he is "right on" on the one and being a stand up BOTL I believe him when he says there are others.Leebo has brought this on himself especially with the way HE treats others, live by the sword die by the sword.Before you chastise me make dang sure YOU know the story otherwise it just makes you look silly making excuses for someone who is guilty and doesnt deserve your backing. Well seeing as how you read the whole story pal, you would have seen my post about knowing both Ric and Lee personally. And I actually do know more than what is in the posts. I am "dang sure" of what I know prior to opening my big mouth.
And I am backing neither of these guys on this one. It has gone out of proportion. I personally don't believe MMM when he says there are others. He has given no instances nor has anyone else came forward publically or privately.
Knowing how Lee is outspoken, I knew for a fact people would jump his crap. And for owing Ric cigars, it well should be jumped. But until others come forward about welching, then it is just an accusation brought forward my 1 member, MMM. So without knowing anything else, how can you say the man is guilty of wrong doing. Because one man makes an acusation offering up no evidence. That is why it sounds like I back Lee. Not because he hasn't done wrong by anyone else, but because there is no evidence.
By all accounts, MMM appears to be a stand up BOTL. But why as a stand up BOTL would he meddle with Lees admin privledges? Doesn't sound stand up to me. Just my 2 cents.

When I got pasted here on CP and over at CS for latepays to CC and MMM, I deserved it. It hurt at the time, but I still deserved it. The part about all of this I don't get is all of the piling on and choosing sides. I do get putting in your part if you have 1st hand info that can add something to the discussion, but anything else is simply heresay and backing.

My reasons for the latepays were and still are very personal (I did share them with a BOTL here, that through his actions and my interactions with him, I trust). In the climate that surrounded my public flogging, there would have been no way to explain it. It would have only sounded like more excuses and/or delaying. So, I took my flogging and dealt with it.

Lee, whatever the reason(s), it'll blow over. There are more important things in life than a latepay (IF this is the case). Answering to a cigar board is down the list from handling life's curveballs. And hey, if the cigars are under the seat, send 'em. If not, send 'em when you get your affairs in order. You've built a reputation as a no **** guy. If you say you'll send 'em then I believe you'll send 'em. Good enough for me.

I know Lee has been VERY outspoken. I think he was doing what he felt was right. Now, maybe something is going on very few or none know about. I hope it all works out in the positive. I'm not speaking on behalf of Lee or any other horse, just trying to add the perspective of one who's been there.

My fate is what it is. I've got no issues with that. But, the implosion of a pretty good community of BOTLs is a sad sight to see.

Although I am not nearly as active since my debacle, I cruise by once in a while. CP is a great place. Rod has done a hell of a job to provide multiple sites to accommodate a passion he shares with the rest of us. Keep it up Ron.....errrrr Rob..........errrr Ross........errrr whatever your name is
