Let the fun begin. From downstairs where the wineador is. We have a whole house humidifiers but when its cold anything over 40% the windows start sweating.

We usually turn the heat off at bedtime. Been chilly around here in the AM (down to 39f the other morning) so the heat gets run until noon or so.

I run evaporative cooling in the summer and central gas furnace in in the winter. Boveda for the summer, beads in the winter. Even with running two warm air humidifiers I saw 58RH one day and peed a little. I tend to pack down into a cooler(dor) whenever I move and sell my humi to a friend or coworker. At my last house I had a tallish wine fridge and the only thing I had to do before the heat went on was put a shot glass half full of distilled water on the top "shelf". In my experience, a tight wood box with a dynamic seal from the humidity is the most forgiving of gas heat. Cooler in second. Thermoelectric Wine fridge in third. HFC/Compressor wine fridge is a bear under gas heat.

On that note; anyone got a line on a solid top 100 cap. mahogany humi? They're getting harder and harder to locate. I just find the extremes of climate control more easily managed with that swietenia varietas. I've been storing in Amish made hardwood infant casket (the mortuary I was contracting with had it on closeout 😝) a little too long. 38 cigars should not required 8oz of beads.
