UFC 75

The Hednderson fight coiuld really go either way. Oh, and I am NOT a rampage fan. :p I just figured if it is a coinflip, I might as well bet a 5'er on it!

1.8??? Damn! I wonder what they were paying Chuck? I think he had fewer fights than any top fighter but his face was all over the place.

chucks highest payday was a 300k purse for beating randy the 3rd time. Thats not including the undisclosed win bonus.

Incorrect. Chucks highest payday was actually his last fight against Rampage where is "to show" pay was $500,000.

Here is the UFC 71 pay breakdowns:
Title Match & Main Event Fighters

-Chuck Liddell: $500,000 (18th fight in UFC; lost to Quinton Jackson)

-Quinton Jackson: $225,000 (2nd fight in UFC after 17 fights in Pride; defeated Chuck Liddell)

Main Card Fighters

-Karo Parisyan: $32,000 (9th fight in UFC; defeated Josh Burkman)

-Ivan Salaverry: $17,500 (6th fight in UFC; lost to Terry Martin)

-Terry Martin: $12,000 (4th fight in UFC; defeated Ivan Salaverry)

-Kalib Starnes: $10,000 (3rd fight in UFC; defeated Chris Leben)

-Chris Leben: $10,000 (9th fight in UFC; lost to Kalib Starnes)

-Houston Alexander: $8,000 (1st fight in UFC; defeated Keith Jardine)

-Josh Burkman: $7,000 (6th fight in UFC; lost to Karo Parisyan)

-Keith Jardine: $7,000 (6th fight in UFC; lost to Houston Alexander)

Preliminary Match Fighters

-Din Thomas: $28,000 (7th fight in UFC; defeated Jeremy Stephens)

-Wilson Gouveia: $16,000 (4th fight in UFC; defeated Carmelo Marrero)

-Thiago Silva: $16,000 (1st fight in UFC; defeated James Irvin)

-Alan Belcher: $14,000 (4th fight in UFC; defeated Sean Salmon)

-James Irvin: $7,000 (5th fight in UFC; lost to Thiago Silva)

-Carmelo Marrero: $5,000 (3rd fight in UFC; lost to Wilson Gouveia)

-Sean Salmon: $3,000 (2nd fight in UFC; lost to Alan Belcher)

-Jeremy Stephens: $3,000 (1st fight in UFC; lost to Din Thomas)

Disclosed Fighter Payroll: $920,500
-------------------------------------------

CroCop was paid a base of $350,000 for his first fight. Inside sources say that he is making around $1,000,000 per fight (he gets a % of the PPV buys as well).

Fedor's 1.8 million will not be all garunteed up front "to show" money. That is a mix between PPV %, endorsements, winning bonuses, and regular "to show" pay. I'm willing to bet his "to show" pay will be $500,000 - $700,000 though which isn't chump change by any means.

Well it wouldn't surprise me if it was guaranteed up front because they denied the Russian co-promotion with UFC. Also "HEROS" an MMA organization run in japan thats quickly filling the void for pride promoted by K1 offered him 1.1million "to show". As far as chucks payday, well he got paid way too much to loose. And I cant belive there putting Keith Jardine who apparently they feel is only worth 8 grand against chuck as a main event for UFC 76.

I see it this way:
Hendo defeats Rampage
Bisping wins a decision
CC takes out Kongo in the first

If Fedor is really gonna sign with the UFC then Randy better watch out. The natural is such a awesome athlete but I dont think he can take Fedor

Maybe I'll be eating crow in 24 hrs, but I can't believe anybody thinks Rampage is going to beat Dan Henderson. Rampage is undisciplined and lazy (his trainer's words) and Dan Henderson is a machine. I guess maybe everyone is betting the line, as Jackson is a -150/+120 favorite?

u think so eh? i think alot of people dislike rampage but i really do see him progressing as a fighter. he is a gamer

I agree with the below. I just think Henderson is the wrong guy at the wrong time for him. Jackson will either go on to be a great champ or flame out dramatically. There will be no middle ground for him.

In any case, tonight should be some spectacular fightin'!

Kongo defeats CroCop. I've been saying this was a bad match up for CroCop for some time now. I thought it would be a good fight, but definitely didn't think Kongo would dominate like he did. Houston Alexander is for real though. He will be fighting someone big his next fight, I know that.

The Cro Cop fight was just painful to watch. Two loses in a row for him...I wonder what is next for him? I was also pretty impressed with the guy who faught Marcus Davis, I would like to see him fight again.

Anyone else here feel like Bisping got robbed on that decision? ??? :0

What a great card. Rampage and Hendo fight was amazing. One of the better fights I've seen in a long time. Hammil definitely got hosed though.

That guy he fought was a monster. Its not suprising to me that he beat crocop.

I fell asleep during that fight. Hendo just laid against him the whole fight. Every time he got on the bottom all he could do was attempt a Kimora. That was one of the most boring fights I've seen in a long time.

I didn't get to see Houston fight but his fight against Jardine two UFCs ago was the best fight I've seen this year.
