USPS lost package

Hey Gator, really sorry to hear about your package!

I must say that in over six years of dealing with the USPS I have NEVER had a package get lost and/or not delivered. I ship out 100+ packages ever week and won't ship with anyone else.
Packages that are over $100 I always get insurance...enough to cover the contents and the shipping.

It all depends on the local office either USPS/UPS/FedEx I was in the shipping business for many years. The company I worked for shipped primarily UPS. With UPS It wasn't missing packages it was destroyed packages. We shipped out over 500 packages a day, and I got so sick of doing claims with UPS that I switched all our business to USPS. I can count on one hand the amount of traces I did for three years before I left.

I had a business at my home and many packages have been destroyed by UPS. I don't mean the package fell off the shelf on the truck, and the corner was dented. I mean they ran over the package with the brown truck 5X, dropped it off the Empire State building, and then leave it on your door step like WTF. I would never ship anything UPS around here they are Bastards. My vote is FedEx!

I had a "go round" with USPS on the bags I just got from Tim. He shipped 'em out and USPS tracking showed them as "delivered". We get a ton of stuff delivered here, usually left on the front porch, with no issues. Called the local USPS station and our carrier "remembered" dropping them off. I figured my time had come, someone had pinched 'em off the front porch, etc. Got to say our local USPS guys were really concerned and very helpful. We negotiated a different drop off point and I figured lesson learned.

And then, a few days later.....the beat up box showed up back at Tim's house...!! Our carrier had clearly confused that box with one of the other many deliveries here and they had actually been returned, even though tracking showed them as delivered. Of course, in the meantime, Tim being the BOTL that he is had already shipped a consolation package so now I really owe him....

Another time, I had a priority box take a month to get to its destination, though the tracking was accurate and reflected the package status.

I guess there is hope that it may show up after all.....

Good Luck - B.B.S.

I had a priority box arrive last week...It took 18 days from New York to Tennessee. Well at least it made it.
