When it comes to cigar storage, as the guys are telling you, you can not beat a cooler for cheap, functionally perfect cigar storage. MadMonk nailed Arlin's quote....and he's right. A cooler will hold the humidity, buffer the temperatures, and store your cigars with precise conditions. Before I had my cabinet, I had a stack of coolers running. Gets boring yanking the lid open and seeing "65" on the hygro, month after month.....but that's the right kind of boring.
I fully believe in 'buy once, cry once' when it comes to humidors beyond the cooler. Get one with good seals, and quality construction. If you don't you're going to have to screw around with it forever and that's nonsense. This is supposed to be a relaxing pastime, right? ironpeddler nailed it - we hear time after time about guys with cheap glass top humi's that fight the stupid things forever.
