Well-planned Bomb? or Accidental Damage?

I received a UPS box from jfields yesterday. Inside that box was a USPS Priority box addressed to John from Cory (Blue Dragon). Right away I'm thinking, "What the hell? He wouldn't just forward a bomb he received from another BOTL, would he?" (Ya never know with newbs...)

My next thoughts were:

"If he did that, then that's pretty tacky!"
<followed by> "I can't accept this if that's what he did."
<followed by> "Damn, I gotta call Cory."

So, I get Cory on the phone and explain to him what I'm looking at: I've got a sealed USPS box that was sent to jfields by Cory on May 3rd. It doesn't appear to have been opened.

Soon, we're both scratching our heads about this, cuz it appears as though John got the USPS box in the mail and then "re-gifted" it on to me!

I was reluctant to open the box in case I needed to send it back to John, but decided there was no other way to know for sure what was up. So I opened the box and described the contents to Cory. He confirmed that it was not the bomb he sent to John. <whew!>

John, I don't know if you planned this or if it was just an innocent by-product of re-using that particular box. Either way, you can count that as a "two-fer". You hit me with a very nice bomb, and got Cory as collateral damage as an added bonus.

Well played, friend!
