I just devoured this book in a few hours (super easy read as you might imagine) and loved every minute. If you grew up on Van Halen like I did it is a must read. Hearing Runnin’ With the Devil on the radio the first time in 1978 was like a sharp slap in the face in a good way like when you got fresh with your girlfriend. There are so few life changing moments in my life and this was one of them.

What are you reading?

I’ll read the news and selected articles for knowledge but for enjoyment it’s only fiction. Government sanctioned assassinations, black bag opps, deep cover espionage, futuristic space fantasy as well as mystical fantasy. Logan Ryles, Mark Greaney, A.C. cobble, Austin King, and David Bears are a few of the authors I’ve been exploring. Rarely do I not spend an hour or more with a book and cigars prior to dinner.

I read on my kindle, but my wife likes to go and buy paperback books sometimes. I went with her to the bookstore Saturday and I noticed a lot of books had the ends of the paper painted up like the one in the picture above. That's neat, but the book was $30.. They didn't have any that weren't painted so I can't say if it was more money or not. When did books get to be $30.
