Today:

-Cohiba M5 Secretos
-Partagas D#4 '05
-Padilla '32 Lancero

I smoked a Cohiba Black I got from Jhawk in the Newbie Trade. this is my first one and I likey!

BTW, How are those Secretos smokin'. I haven't pulled the trigger on those yet. I do mean yet. :p

They are good, but not great. Not worth the price that I have been seeing on them, however, I imagine they will become really good in a couple of years.

Today was:
-Monte #2 '03
-Partagas Lonsdale '00
-SLR Lonsdale '01

Cuesta Rey Vintage Belicoso # 11. This is my time smoking this one.

This is a nice $5 cigar from the cigar shop. It's dark oscuro wrapper is smooth. It is a solid cigar but draws perfectly with lots of smoke. The burn is also perfect. Ash is white. Very cedary with hints of nuttinus. A little bitter but not so much that it detracts from the expereince. It also has a slight sweetness to it. It reminds me of grapefruit. Ash is solid and hold on very well. It is a very strong cigar

Had my first Monte PE last night from a jun07 box. Took a few minutes to get going but over all was good. Needs alittle rest

LfD Cameroon Dbl Ligero Lancero

Quite a different cigar than when first came out. It's a real treat now. Sharp Cameroon taste has equalized quite a bit and now it's damn near sublime.

Cuesta Rey Vintage? Is this an old cigar that is no longer in production? I only ever see Cabinet, Centenario and Centro Fino. I really enjoy the few Cuesta Ray's I have tried so I am correcting you, actually quite the opposite. It sounds like a good smoke and I'm curious as to which one you mentioned.

Cuesta-Rey Vintage Sungrown Centro Fino (looks to be about a DC or a bit shorter). This is a good cigar. It's only the second Cuesta -Rey I've tried. Last night I tried the Belicoso # 11. I liked it too. I really like the Sungrown. Not a bad price for a Sungrown cigar.

No, my bad. On the band it said "Vintage" .

Last night finished off a La Gloria Cubana serie R No. 5 and really enjoyed it. Might have to pick up a bunch more of these, since it was so tasty!

Sittin' on the front porch with an AF King B right now. This is my first and I must say that I am really liking this cigar. It's peppery, but not too peppery, wonderful flavors and a beautiful wrapper. Exactly what I expect from an $8 cigar. Will definately be looking for more of these.

Thanks for the blow-by-blow coverage, riverratt! :D

Let me guess - your pretty new to cigars? Enthusiasm is good!

I'm smoking a young Monty Edmundo and the potential is there. I just need to be more patient.

It's fun to pull one every three months and note the difference, though.

After work a Juan Lopez Corona from 01 is in the offing!

While watching KU beat K-State ( ) I enjoyed a Stanfords 90th and a RASS... still have lots of football, beer, and cigars to go!!

Joya De Nic. 1970 Machito. Very nice

TTT Colonial. mmmmm Good

Cuuesta Rey 898 Maduro-- This was my first. I enjoyed it. It had hints of sweetness. It also had some bitter spots, but overall I liked it. I am really enjoying giving this this brand a try.

Smoked my first Pepin!!! It was a series JJ. I definately understand what all the hype is about now! I found it to be pretty spicy most of the stick, although it did mellow somewhat about halfway. The first two-thirds of it were a really good smoke, but the last third was plagued with burn problems that resulted in me letting it go out. Overall, it was a great medium-bodied smoke that I will definately revisit. I had hoped to write an actual review of it, but the burn problems and the fact that I didn't take good notes on it prevented that. The burn problems probably aren't the cigar's fault. The humidity outside was about 85% and there was a steady breeze, so burn issues are to be expected.

I too had burn issues this afternoon. Damn North Texas humidity...

Nope. I have been smokin ceegars since I was 19. I am 46 in Nov. . I just have been trying new cigars that I haven't tried before. Like the HDM Excalibur LE (silver band) that I am smoking new. It is also good. I like it better than the CR 898.

I smoked a Padilla Miami lancero last night (I am really loving these sticks) and I just finished a DPG Black (my first) petite corona. Hot damn, that was a delicious, spicy treat!
