Buddy of mine didn't want to cuss, so he'd literally say "bad words, lots and lots of bad words" if he hurt himself. I tried to tell him the intent was the same as saying it, but he wouldn't listen.

Cunt has a great phonetic quality. Poe probably used cunt.

Whenever I hear shithead now I think of the dog of that name. I named a Robin shithead due to a white splotch on its head. That bird was easily identified and named appropriately. I know it's odd to name wild animals.
