First released as a single in 1979 with "The Man With The Dogs" as the B side this was rerecorded in 1980 for the DK's first album, The original version came out in 1987 on the compilation "Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death"

Pretty close to what I have,
Dave started the song with Stevie in mind but was having some trouble finishing it. Jimmy Iovine suggested Tom could help out. They finished the song, and Tom took the demo over that had him singing to Stevie's house and she didn't think she couldn't do it any better and passed on it. Tom asked Dave if he could use it and the rest is history. All the videos are from 1985 when this happened.
