Back in the day when I was spinning plastic the owner of this one club always wanted 2 or 3 in a row what he called "Bar Songs". His thinking was that if everybody stayed on the floor nobody was buying drinks. A bar song would give a slower song to dance to and then hit the bar before pushing the people back out onto the floor. One of the combos I used was the Extended version of ISmall Town Boy followed by t's My Life or Tainted Love or something like that before cranking it up again. We were mostly a rock club but you had to keep the girls happy too.

Iggy & the Stooges, 'Metallic KO' (1976)
This album had more falsehood and stories then most by far. Word of mouth had it as the last live show the Stooges did in '74 until they reformed in 2003. It was said the audience was so mad and Iggy was so obnoxious they dragged him from th e stage and beat him. None was true. Supposedly this album was recorded at the Detroit Palace in June '74. In reality side 1 was recorded as the first half of an October '73 show and side 2 was the 2'nd half of a February '74 show.
In 1988 a 2 album set was released called Iggy & the Stooges, 'Metallic 2X KO'that supposedly had both shows. Even that is a bit suspect since that would mean 50 minute shows instead of the normal 75 or 90 minutes most groups did. Finally in 1998 an even longer more complete version was released on a 2 CD set that is probably close to what the sets were like.
A bit of history as this is considered the first major release of mid-western Punk in the US.
