Back in the day when I was spinning plastic the owner of this one club always wanted 2 or 3 in a row what he called "Bar Songs". His thinking was that if everybody stayed on the floor nobody was buying drinks. A bar song would give a slower song to dance to and then hit the bar before pushing the people back out onto the floor. One of the combos I used was the Extended version of ISmall Town Boy followed by t's My Life or Tainted Love or something like that before cranking it up again. We were mostly a rock club but you had to keep the girls happy too.
