What SMOKING music are you listening to? (2026)

Who is Brian Eno and why is he important? I know you ask yourself this question regularly and now you'll know.
Besides coining the phrase Ambient Music - he basically invented it with his album Ambient 1: Music For Airports. Then there are his experimental albums like Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), innovations in tape loops and processing starting in 1970 and during his time with Roxy Music. Inventing "Oblique Strategies" for spurring creative direction. Producing albums by Talking Heads, Roxy Music U2, David Bowie, Coldplay, Devo,Paul Simon, Grace Jones, Ultravox and 150 others. His innovative techniques have influenced how modern music is made. Add in his electronic solo and collaberative work and Eno becomesa giant you didn't know existed.

Putting a few videos up in no way can begin to represent his work.

Live Friday

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, *The Agora, Cleveland 1978* (2014)

Rolling Stone called this the best live album by the best live artist of his generation and it is hard to disagree. 22 songs spanning 3 CD's and 2:53:00. Simulcast and recorded by WMMS in Cleveland on Aug 9th, 1978 as part of their 10 year anniversary this was probably Sprinsteen's biggest bootleg until the official version came out. The master tapes of the show were recorded on the 2nd floor of the Agora building right above the venue. Sometime in the 90's they were. along with hundreds of other reels of tape, to the Rock hall of fame where they say until a producer working on Springsteen's Archive seines tracked them down. This is the 2nd release of the series.

While not the lonest set Bruce has done, I've seen him go over 4 hours, it still is far more than you normally get. So tonight sit back grab a 6 pack and enjoy the show
