Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus (1978)
Originally a double Live album recorded at Lisner Auditorium in DC with 17 songs it has been re-released on a single CD (15 songs) 2 different Half Speed Master Records, A deluxe edition with 2 CDs or 3 LPs and a Super Deluxe edition of 8 CDs. Originally thought of as a triple LP the record company didn't think that would sell so the 2 LP version came out. However, when the Deluxe version came out it had all the songs that were played at Lisner but some of the songs were actually recorded at London's Rainbow theater and the order was changed a bit to reflect the actual show order. The Super Deluxe version has the Complete Lisner show, the complete Rainbow show and an an additional complete show from Manchester Hall. 8 Cds of southern fried party music sorta like if Jimmy Buffett was more southern and on steroids. One of the things that really makes the album gritty is the Tower Of Power Horn section that was hired for this tour.
