What SMOKING music are you listening to? (2026)

I've usually got the Bluetooth speaker going with some xm radio, today its y2kountry. If not that its the highway, red/white/and booze, or classic vinyl.

I have never heard any of this - thanks a ton for sharing.
I also like America Looks Abroad and War Telescope.

ALA was produced after the war started but before Pearl Harbor so its an interesting narrative and perspective of WWII from the outside looking in.

Live'r Than You'll Ever Be - The Rolling Stones (Live bootleg 1969)

I wasn't planning on doing bootlegs but this one ties into last weeks Who Live at Leedsl a bit so here we are.

Live'r Than You'll Ever Be was , after the time of it's release in December '69 (recorded in Nov '69) the largest selling bootleg and sold almost as well as a commercial release. It was the first document of what many think was the Stone's finest tour up to that point. It did so well that Decca in the UK and London in the US rushed to release Get Yer Ya Ya's Out in 1970 which was also recorded in November of 1969 only in NYC and Baltimore instead of Oak;and like the bootleg. That pushed back the release of Let it Bleed. Also the bootleg was strangely similar to the Who's cover of Live At Leeds which the Who had done on purpose.

I remember buying a copy and playing the crap out of it at the time since I had seen the tour and this was pretty close to what I had seen - except much shorter.
