The depth of the drawl. For example, where you might pronounce the word "partner" as "part-ner" in the Deep South you would hear "pawd-nuh" and in Texas you would hear "Par-nr" and in the Southeast you might hear "Hey tourist, I got Cubans real cheap"

I'm not sure if Chattanooga is Southeast or Deep South (technically I live on the Georgia side of the line). I picked Southeast.
