White fuzzy on outer wrapper

I noticed some white fuzzy on a few of the outside wrappers on my leaf by Oscar cigars. If you're unfamiliar, they're wrapped with tobacco leaf instead of cellophane. Looked around in the humidor, nothing else is effected.

My humidor has been sitting at about 69-70%, thinking I should bring it down a couple.

Should I remove the outer wrappers and discard?

Can you take a picture? If you're asking about mold, if it brushes off easily it's harmless. Just wipe it off and it'll be fine. Plume is a harmless mold but it's not fuzzy. So if it is mold, remove the wrapper and check the cigar thoroughly and smell it.

It's not much, but glad I caught it early.

Were it me, I'd give them a gentle wipe with the same colloidal silver / distilled water mix i use in my cabinet, then dry box them for a few days. Works every time. Else just pull the external wrapper and dry box them. For sure get them out of the humidor. One man's opinion....

Joe, is it anywhere other than the band? The picture you showed looks like it might just be contained to the band which I wouldn't worry about. Like others said, wipe it off and have a good day.

I wouldnt worry about it. It looks like it's just in the band,. Just remove the band and wrapper. But you do need to check your gauge and humidor. You can salt test your hygrometer or use a second one. Also, if you are using an analog hygrometer most of them are inaccurate and should be thrown away. And humipucks with the florist foam can also cause mold.

Great point. If you haven't salt tested your hygros you're flying blind. Worthwhile exercise, to be sure. I do all my digital hygros every battery replacement.
