Was out of town unexpectedly and missed the anni by a day but that won't stop me from having a contest. For reasons known only to Rod I'm still here after 14 years and to celebrate I'm going to make you work for a prize.

The key to this one was that the US isn't the only country with states. The official name of Mexico is officially the United Mexican States
A: Tennessee and Missouri each border 8 US states, Texas borders 4 US states and 4 Mexican states.
