hey gang,
well... was in Best Buy today and they were just putting a few Wii's out on the floor, and I grabbed one. At the Wifely Units© last doctor's appointment, her doc actually suggested she try the Wii for some physical therapy. I never would have believed it, but I was at the appt with her and since we've been having nothing but warm weather, freezing rain and ice ice everywhere. she cannot get out and walk, go pretty much anywhere or do much of anything other than sit around the house. and that gets old... Her doc suggested the Wii as something to do, as it's more than just a console game. We're even going to try and get her to write a prescription for it at her next appt and have the insurance pay for it.
anyways... what's a decent game(s) to get? something fun and entertaining (can even be a shooter type, but needs more than just a simple pointing action) but also needs to have lots of movement options. She's really keen on trying the boxing (she says she's gonna kick my ass!) but we have no idea what is out there... since it's for 'physical therapy' she will use it to get her heart rate up (which is EASILY done these day - she's so de-conditioned) but it also needs to be entertaining and hold her interest (which is HARD to do these days) Nothing terribly technical however... think child's level of skill and attention level (I'll deny I ever said that...)
suggestions?
