I know, we're smoking cigars, we're going to stink during and after, but that doesn't mean they all smell like a wet casino, some are actually quite pleasant to non smokers, while others are disgusting and leave a lingering stank on the best of us.

So far my most putrid samplings are

La Unica

CAO Criollo

and having to smell others

CAO Karmasutrasplash - smells like a rotten stripper

CAO Moontrance - unlit seems like it would smell great buring, not!

There's one that stands out in my mind: Pirate's Gold.

Pure. Burnt. Rubber.

The most heinous cigar I've ever whiffed.

Wilkey

I once was gifted (gee, thanks) a box of Fake Cohibas.....OMG what a stink !

A. Fuente - curlyhead.... which ever one has the green shade. Come to think of it... the natural shade is pretty stinky too. :(

I find most of the Camachos to smell pretty terrible. My wife seems to complain more when I smoke the Nicaraguan puros as well.

I'm definatly not a fan of Camachos....I don't like the taste or the smell...

I've had some of my daughters shit diapers smell better

Interesting because my wife always comments that aged Padrons always smell amazing. The smell also doesn't seem to linger as long inside the house.

i have found that any padron maduro smells good to anyone, smoker or not.

didn't expect this thread to take off like it did.

I've had some other stank ones, but can't think of them in my current stooper.

I love the smell of Padrons but my fiance recently commented that she thought they smell like cow-pies! Tsk tsk..

Acid cigars....hands down the worst smelling sticks. ESPECIALLY before they're lit!

Anything Acid. I was at a B&M the other day and two guys fired em up. WHOA it was sickening. Other than that, not much really turns me off. My wife on the other hand HATES em all, but still comes into the smoking room and gives me a smooch before leaving for work.

would that be their regular line or their premium cameroon line (as i was actually looking forward to smoking one of these).

thanks,
mike

They were the regular La Unica cabinet line, natural and maduro, the natural was like smoking a camel, and the maduro was like a maduro camel... they weren't bad, just not what I expect a cigar to taste like, and the smell was definetly like cigarettes. It didn't help that it was a La Unica event in a lounge, outside I'm sure they much more mellow.

oh boy, i hope the cameroons are better than the regular line you describe. i do smoke outside though. i will keep you posted.

thanks,
mike

It's great that this was brought up. My best friend that I play golf with 3 times a week can tell a good, bad, cuban smoke. He was a smoker for 28 years and now hates the smell of cigs, but light up a nice Dominican (Fuente) he's like great smoke. Light up a not-so-good and, well lets say he makes sure it goes out.. :)

mikey, can you please do us all a favor and use your "Shift" key when you should? It makes CigarPass look more professional and less like a grade school chat room.

Thanks.

Oh an as far as worst smelling cigars, pretty much anything by Drew Estates and CAO top my list.

EDIT: I forgot to add Acids to my list.

i don't think the cigar that got 'Lewinsky'd' smelled very good
