WTF happened?

That's not standard isom quality control there... but I've never had a cab of 50, just the slb's and dress boxes. And maybe it's just part of the cap, but it looks like on the third row up, the second from the right stick has been unbanded. Which doesnt make sense for a cabinet.

Any ideas about how that happened? I would certainly send the picture to the seller. Do the cigars have any other marks on them besides on the cap? Personally I have never received anything damaged so I am not sure how the return process goes.

They look like mine when I try and poke a hole with a golf tee when the cutter is not available. I'll be glad to try that for you on one if you like.

Most places are pretty good about replacing stuff like this. It really depends on who you used. I would send them back or at least make the attempt.

If it's only the cap, it should be salvageable (without having to go through the hassle of sending it back to the vendor). Check the whole wrapper on the rest of the cab. If the cap was just a reflection of a larger problem, then definitely send them back.

The cigars in my last CAB of these were very DRY :0 Those caps appear to have been damaged in shipping from the heads of the cigars rubbing up against the side of the wooden box. The vendor adds bubble wrap inside the box in an attempt to protect from this kind of damage. What happened, did it slip down?

The feet of a few of my Serie A were cracked and split but it did not affect the way they smoked.

I tend to think the cigars are not ruined, hell the first thing you do is cut the cap off before you light it anyway.

I guess I'm old fashioned... When I buy a box of cigars I expect them to be perfect or very nearly so... and I don't want to spend time hoping they are okay every time I smoke one. What if he wants to trade a couple??? How would you feel if you made a trade and got sticks that look like they've just gotten out of prison? No way. Send 'em back. Maybe the vendor will take more care with the packing and shipping next time.

I'd send 'em back in a heartbeat...... Not just the damaged ones either, the entire cab and at their expense. If the vendor is not willing to do that, then I'd switch vendors.

No no no. They are all smokeable. They are simply unacceptable. To your vendor: "I am unhappy with the entire cabinet and want them replaced. The condition of these cigars is completely unacceptable. Let me know how you want these shipped back to you."

I would definitely try and send the whole cab back at their cost.

I've seen this with cigars from HK before (now part of the Worlds largest counterfeit operation) :(

IMO shop elsewhere :sign:

You know, when I received a box of Mag'46 and I'm sure it's the same vendor, a few of my caps were like that, too. The smokes were very dried out, too. They smoke alright, though after they were re-humified. It wasn't as bad as yours though. Sorry to see such a terrible thing. My eyes are sore from looking at that. :(

I think I use the same HK vendor and both boxes of RASCC's I recieved were in great shape and were very well stored.

This vendor advertises, "all cigars quality assured". So, I agree, send them back at their cost.

After closer inspection, the only damage is to the caps. They should all smoke fine since the damaged part will be cut off before I light it anyway. I decided to keep the cab. The supplier was quick to offer however many replacements that I wanted. I only asked for 7 replacements and they shipped immediately, no questions asked. The supplier was very quick in their response and I believe they would have sent more if I asked for more. I'm happy with an additional 7 sticks at no charge to make up for the damage. Hopefully they arrive aok!

Glad it worked out too. So, what 7 sticks did you get? :)

Let us know how they smoke.... maybe we can work out another trade for a few of the SLR's.

An additional thought... Ive noticed that caps have a thicker "knot" on the underside of the cap right in the center of the cap... makes me think it can't be shipping damage but lousy caps?

But as long as they smoke well...
