Yesterday, instead of lunch I went to a local cigar shop to check it out and pick up a single or two. As I was trying to decide on the VSG's or Padron's I noticed a dusty box of Zino Mouton Cadet Torpedos. I mean 1/8 inch of dust! My first thought was "Good God, someone break out a dust rag." Then it dawned on me, dust=ageing. So I took a closer look and the cello was a beautiful brownish yellow which told me these guys had been aging long enough for 1/2 inch of dust!. I immediatly grabbed a handfull an fired up the smoothest, creamiest, butter bliss I've ever had. I don't know how long they'd been aging on this guys shelf, but WOW! These are my new morning smokes (for the next couple of days, anyway).

I had a zino plat chubby the other day and didn't care at all for it. Had a real metel taste to it. Maybe something happens with age on these things but I won't be buying one to find out. lol

Sorry to hear that. I'd never had a Zino before, but I'd heard the Platinum was supposed to be fantastic so I thought an aged Zino of any kind would be a treat. In this case it really was.

My first Zino plat was the Bullett, which I didn't care much for b/c it had a very tight draw. However, I had another Zino Platinum (a petit corona I think) that the Davidoff rep gave me at the store. It was a fantastic smoke!

Like Eric I've only had the scepter series. A local shop has the other lines, but I've never picked it up.
