Man, I feel sorry for you guys. Christmas isn't Christmas without the cold. The wifey and I have the neighbors over on the "Eve". A Crown Ribroast with Lobster tails with assorted holiday goodies spread out along the table. Champagne and toasts while the wind is whipping against the windows. Retiring to the living room with after dinner drinks, the gorgeous tree alight, a crackling fire, roasting marshmallows and making smores (12 year old neighbor's daughter), opening presents, listening to the old time Christmas music, Bing and Sinatra, Ives and the lot... you folks have my sincere sympathy.

Merry Christmas!

Yeah, I'm at work, the boss is an ass.

Oh yeah, what time should the wife and I come by???

I have to admit, Neal's right. Tonight, we all meet at the wifey's Aunts for tenderloin on the grill, brolied tomatoes with garlic and parmesan cheese, mashed potatoes, etc.

Then it's everyone to the den to open gifts, fire in the fireplace, cocktails, maybe a snort of Glenlivet Archive 25yr.....ahhhhhhh

Merry Christmas, Bro!!

Sounds like a winner to me!

Doesn't anyone wait until Christmas morning to open presents?

You have to tell me where you got the Glenlivet Archive 25 year old.

Have to agree with you guys (Sam and Leebo). Nothing like the cold weather, Warm fire, friends and family. It really gets the Holliday Spirit in an uproar :D

It will be cold here tonight, 20s and Teens. In-Laws will be here tonight for cookie baking and such. Then They are coming back in the early morning, and My parents are coming too. We'll all gather round the tree and watch my son wonder into the room with the sleep still in his eyes. Gonna be great.

My uncle buys it in Scotland every year. He's nice enough to share a snort with me on Christmas eve.

Merry Christmas to all. We may have to turn the AC on over here...

F*&# the Cold..... it dropped down into the 20's last night and is suppose to be dipping back down there again tonight. Do yall know how much the frost intollerant plants that my wife has are going to cost me next year to replace? ;)

We finished wrapping gifts last night while sipping on some Makers Mark. Mrs Claus sure was frisky... prob a combination of the cold and Makers Mark. I never knew you could make garland do that. :D

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Brother Neal,

You're right about it not being the same without the cold and snow during the holidays. My daughter is still waiting to experience snow for the first time!

It does suck at times not having the frost and windchill during the evenings. I was just thinking about this as I was at my friends house last night.... we're all sitting in his open air patio smoking '01 Monte Especiales and sipping on some fine Tequilla to keep us warm as the temps dropped down to a chilly 70 degrees..... Brrrrrr! I actually had to put a sweatshirt on!

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

Merry Christmas Bruddahs or as we say.... MELE KALIKIMAKA!

Aloha,

Wade

I was hoping you found something I'd missed. Either way the Archive is pretty good stuff. Enjoy!

You forgot to mention the shivering urchins with their noses pressed against the windows watching you feast

Merry Christmas one and all!

I don't think your are supposed be hanging out with her. Having the neighbors over is one thing but this.......

I wish everyone would quit rubbing it in. I'm a cold wx boy from MI.... Christmas ain't christmas without snow, and here I am, stuck in the sub-tropical hell where my mom (Bless her heart) put on a sweatshirt because it dropped below 70 last night. I didn't even get my annual dose of snow in Korea because it's a "dry" year. I can only hope for snow in March when I return to the ROK.

Yeah Karl, you really are missing out. We got about 6" between Wed eve and Thursday. The white stuff was coming in at about 1" to 1.5" an hour in Detroit.
As I write, it's a balmy 18 and light snow in the works, Monday high of 24, low of 19, Tuesday snow high of 33, low of 29. Woo Hoo!
I might have to wear a coat soon!

Yeah Karl, our street was packed with snow, and when I left my Jeep in the street, they plowed it right in. I started to take off and was having some difficulties (not too much tread on the rear tires), so I used my " 4WD get out of snow free" lever! Nothin like shooting out of snow at a rapid pace, I love winter! Now if all of the pokey-timid people would just stay off the roads!
