As I move into the last 1.5-2 years of my Ph.D. program, I'll be more heavily immersed in research and writing. That and family demands on time will mean I'll have less and less time to spend on the cigar boards. It isn't what I'd have wanted but this is what needs to be done so that we can move beyond this twilight zone and get on with a normal life.

I'll still be on though posting and participating less than I have in the past. Perhaps a lot less. I still see the occasional split and pass in my future and I hope to host a themed pass of my own this spring.

So in case anyone might notice that I've slipped into lurker mode, that is why. Hell, before long, Freebern might even knock me off the top row. And so it is with anticipation and irony that I preemptively redirect his own missile right back at him:

Since you will be focusing on "important" things for the next year or so -- family, doctorate, etc, I make the mental leap that you have no time for smoking cigars. Ergo, I purpose you send me your cigars.
