The Walking Dead on AMC

Wouldn't this just result in a herd of crawling ankle biting zombies? Without the deadshot, they are still going to be "alive". So the next time they pass through that part of the highway, they are just going to see a bunch of legs laying around and somewhere up the road the crawling torsos.

Best scene of the show by far. Just a set up show obviously, but it wasn't bad. My least favorite season so far, so I'm sure it can do nothing but improve. Hell, I was just glad to actually see a zombie in an episode finally.

They should have used dozers and anchor chain.

If it's good enough to clear land, it's good enough to mince zombies.

I was disappointed. I like where they are heading in general, but last night's episode was poor quality IMO. The scenes where Rick was on top of the garbage looking back over the junkyard was the poorest green screen I've seen since Sharknado. And that whole junkyard group was kind of a Beyond Thunderdome rip off. From the broken English to the spiked zombie, I was looking for Tina Turner to come out. Speaking of Tina Turner, still would.

I just got to watch it. I've said it before. if it were all zombie killing and no story I'd be complaining that there is no substance to the show.

Rick go Up up up, green screen suck. Me like spike zombie. Rick fight good.

I don't know if I'm being too hard on them or what. I guess now that I think about it, however long they are past the "event" (2 years?) and no outside contact or written language (books) I can see how a language could start to morph. I just wish they had done anything other than a Madmax reboot as far as language is concerned.

I think 2 years a a major stretch for language to take such a hit. Could just be the leader, Jadis, who is supposed to be someone of few words.
In the casting Call, they used the name Brion:

"Brion is an educated, poker faced leader who has a superior air and does not let his/her motives be known. Brion uses as few words as possible and keeps his/her emotions in check – we do see amusement, annoyance, displeasure – Brion just doesn’t wear their emotions on their sleeve; he/she is confident, quiet, and chiefly concerned with how anything may benefit him/her and those he/she knows…”

And from an interview with the actress:

"She speaks in this unusual way where she doesn’t have the habit of fully forming lengthy sentences as most people do. Dropping unnecessary words makes it direct, and she’s very clear about what she wants. My take on it is that it’s also a way to bring her own group closer together through the uniformity of their speech and on the other hand to keep a distance from outsiders; a sort of intimidating oddness. It was both a challenge and a joy to make this dialogue — which could come off as a bit caveman-ish – feel natural."

Now we have to figure out her sign language...:D

As already stated, the garbage scenes were....trash. Green screen effects were awful. Also, are you telling me that Rick....Rick, couldn't find something in that trash heap to keep the zombie at bay while he found a suitable tool to crash his head with? It was pretty dumb. Having said that...I thought the zombie looked cool.

This continues to be the worst of all seasons. This Negan stuff was so amped up to be this huge thing for the show and story, and it has fallen way flat. I'm just looking forward to the inevitable battle which Rick and the crew win, so we can get on with the show.

...and I'm sure I'm the only one, but I've grown really tired of Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his portrayal of Negan. I'm not saying he plays the charater badly, but it feels way over the top and overdone at this point.....cheesy to a point.

....and suck it up Carol, for crying out loud, you're acting like a baby now. Go kill some fuckers and quit acting like a sissy. Reading books on the couch??? Really?? Dumb.

I didn't get the Trashpail people. But the spike zombie was cool. Not sure why he had to stab his own hand instead of grabbing the side spikes. Sticking a sofa cushion to the head would have negated a lot of the threat.

At this point would be better to just watch the back of my eyelids.... It would at least be more entertaining.
It's killing me too. I'm a huge fan but other than the first episode with Neegan...it blows. But I'm sure I will tune in Thursday :p
