    Cigar Girl® 04/23/07

Man, I wish we could still go to the Philippines when I last went on a deployment. Now that I think about it though, I'm a happily married man. It's probably for the best!

Elijah Craig Single Barrel 18 yo

I figured I'd dredge up this thread with my question vice starting a new one. I found a bottle of Elijah Craig Single Barrel 18 today and picked one up. I opened the packaging and checked the back of the bottle....It was barreled on 11/4/1980, and was barrel no. 1531. Seems strange to me that it...

    Black Bottle 10 yo

I had been looking for this off and on since I saw the favorable review. I was finally successful tonight. What a terrific scotch, especially for thirty bucks! I agree wholeheartedly about the way that it coats your mouth after taking a sip. I will be buying more of this for sure. Thank you very...

    These fires in Malibu

I guess I just thought comparing having a loved one in Iraq and having a loved one die was kind of a cheap shot. While having a loved one in Iraq would certainly make one anxious, they're not dead. That's all I was trying to say (poorly).

    These fires in Malibu

Did you hear what she said about her house burning down? "My nature is to look at the glass half-full," Somers said in a statement. "I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."...

    Xingu

Thanks for the reminder about this great beer. I've only had it in a bar in Columbia and it's great! I'll have to look around for it again here in Charleston. Highly recommended beer!

    New Orleans

It was nice to be back in Louisiana. First stop was Abbeville to visit my family. In nearby Lafayette, there is a shop called the Cigar Merchant that had just an amazing selection of cigars. Tatuajes, LFDs, Davidoff, etc. Went to New Orleans after that. I visited the Cigar Factory and tried a...

    New Orleans

I had forgotten about the Cigar Factory. I had seen it when I lived there, but it really didn't register since I didn't smoke at the time. I look forward to going there. Knightlaird, thanks for your help!

    New Orleans

No one's been to any good B&Ms while they visited/lived in New Orleans? Looks like I've got some exploring to do then...

    New Orleans

I will be going back to New Orleans for the first time in a couple of years next week. I went to Tulane from 1996-2000 but didn't smoke cigars then so I don't know of any good cigar shops. Also, I will be around Lafayette as well (my parents are from there and that is where I grew up). Any...
