Mine was Mr. Baseman by Johnny Cymbal

Edit to add artist

Bought with my own money... I think it was Guns N' Roses, Appetite For Destruction. I gave my mom my hard-collected cash and asked her to get it for me the next time she was at K-Mart. Man, that album was totally inappropriate for a 5th grader, but it changed my damn life.

I am embarrassed to say it but....Ace of Base!

I saw the sign!!!!!

When I was about six I saved up a couple dollars and got myself an Alan Jackson cassette tape. Funny thing is that I don't even like country now.

Guns N' Roses, Appetite For Destruction and Lies Lies Lies on the same day. I must be close in age to Kann

I don't remember what the first casette tape was. First CD was a House of Pain B side disc that had the hard rock version of Shamrocks and Shenanigans. Pretty sure I still have it.

Bristol Stomp - The Dovells was my first 45, The first album I bought was the Camalot soundtrack for a present. The first one I bought for myself was The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart - which I still have.

Boy does this bring back memories, mine was Quiot Riot, bang you're head, then two days later LL COOL J, Radio. I know, very different.

Here you go:
