Maybe now she'll find peace with her inner demons. I always hoped for years she would would turn herself around. What a waste of her talent.

Same. My mom was a big Whitney Houston fan. Her music was always on in the car and in the house. Only 48, too. I actually thought she was older than that. I think I was just starting to really get into football in 1990, and that was the first Superbowl I can remember watching. I recall I was at my grandmother's house, sitting in her rocking chair and watching on her little 13" TV. That performance is one of those instances where you just remember where you were at when "that" happened.

My favorite Whitney Houston line, "I don't smoke crack, crack is whack.". The whole time she was smoking crack with Bobby Brown. Why didn't they just Cool It Now?

I hate to hear about people dying from drugs... It's a shame

Tragic. Her rendition of the National Anthem for SuperBowl XXV (1991) brought tears to my eyes and most who came to the party's as well. Probably the best I have ever heard. It is how I will remember her.
