I searched and was surprising to see this isn't around yet. I'm a chef and it would be cool to share. We have "What's in your Glass," "What's your latest purchase," "What did you smoke Today," ect. We all do it, why not talk about it, SO...

What's on your plate today? Have anything good to eat today/lately? I know there are plenty of food lovers on this board, so why don't we share a little, recipes, pictures even, I'm always interested in what other people enjoy.

Tonights meal I made a little something on the fly, so it's a mix between Paella and Jambalaya. Spicy tomato based sauce, minced onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, chicken stock, chicken breast, zucchini and spices and seasonings.

I'm on a quesadilla kick lately---I saute up fajita chicken breast strips, bell pepper, onion, and mushroom, then tuck it all inside tortillas with some mozzarella cheese, fresh tomato slices and avocado, and fry them in the same pan until the cheese melts and the tortilla is browned and crispy. Good stuff.

Since it's Cinco De Mayo, I ate Mexican food. Burrito, shredded beef, rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red enchilada sauce.

Last two things I cooked.
Chicken was last night, and the breakfast was this morning.
Both are Paleo/Primal friendly

Thx!

Food has become a revolution in my house, we switch to a Paleo/Primal diet and try to stick with a 80% / 20% split, meaning that we allow ourselves small things that are not really along the guidelines we try to follow.
I am doing Strength training and Crossfit 3 times a week (supplement 50g of whey protein on those days), and running at least 4 miles on as many of the other days that I can. I can get through all my workouts with no problem and am steading seeing pounds drop off. The weight drop will stop soon I think but I have a lot of fat to get rid of in the old gut area.

Sorry for the thread Jack!

More pics to come this week

My own Irish potato soup recipe. It's the wife's favorite dish. Very simple, but very good.

Have some peppadew peppers stuffed with herbed goat cheese in the oven right now for a little appetizer. Going to top them with a balsamic reduction.

I love this thread, it hasn't really taken off, but there are a lot of great cooks on this board, and I love learning about food and people tastes.

Great pictures MX, and the Paleo diet is a oldie, but a goodie. I wish you the best with that.

I'm on vacation with my folks for my birthday, so I'm eating like garbage, but enjoying it none the less, I'll pay for it later, but for now I'm happy as a fat kid in a candy store.

Enjoy your vacation bro. I made spaghetti & meatballs with garlic bread for the family tonight.

For dinner I rolled my own stromboli. And a Calzone for my wife.

Enjoy the R&R!!!

Give this thread time, I am sure we can get it moving forward. People might be nervous about posting food pics, they can be very hard to take. Mine are actually so-so and have lots of post processing.
But, as the weather warms up, I am sure we will start seeing pics of grills and BBQs start showing up...

I like for my wife to "roll my Stromboli" :D :sign:
