Today's Smoke 2016

Just had a PL Picadores. It was sweet with caramel and a touch of earthiness. Yum ;)
How old/young is the one you smoked? I picked nabbed a box and I'm pretty certain it's from 2015. I have yet to try one, but your description makes me want to burn one.

Mine was from 2015 as well, code is EOT AGO 15. It was definitely good and hope you have just as good of an experience with yours if you decide to give it a go :) You'll have to let me know how it was when you do!

Smoking a Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged Maduro.

It's quite bland. :(
Hope it wakes up as I move into the 2nd third at just over an hour into it.
So Camacho is still the current winner of the bourbon barrel aging cigars?

Had one of those Don Carlos robustos/companion to Eye of the Shark....good, rich smoke but nothing I'd seek out for a box purchase. Followup Mag 46 was the clear winner.

I've read that these can benefit greatly from at least a 6 month nap, some have said that ROTT they were good. It seems to be a cigar that people either love, or just kinda like.

I tried one of the PL Picadores last night (I forgot to check to box code). I didnt care too much for the first third, but the second half was very enjoyable. It showed a lot promise and I think these will benefit from some down time. I'll probably revisit one in six months.

I haven't tried any older ones yet, but I'm curious how they are with some age on them too. So far I have really enjoyed the PL cigars I have had, with wnd without age.

A couple of the CF guys went all "hills are alive with the sound of music" on them, but I'll save my other one for six months or a year and see how it is. The pre-lit draw was really promising, lots of sweet raisin and red pepper....so maybe a little time will let those notes open up a bit.
